Called today. Said I was under investigation for tax fraud and to press 1 otherwise a warrant would be issued by the police. I hung up and called the tax office they inform me it's a scam hackers have managed to use one of the HMRC 0330 numbers, they always call on private number and would always send letters of this nature. Don't be scammed I panicked hearing the message but called the tax office my self

I was rang and told to press 1 I spoke to an Asian sounding man who stated that if I did not give my name the police would be informed. I declined this they then hung up.
